About Nancy

Nancy Tavares-Jones is a certified Career Development Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from Wilfrid Laurier University. She currently works for a non-profit organization helping newcomers settle into Canada and find them meaningful employment.

Nancy also volunteers at Spectra Community Support Services as a distress centre volunteer and online trainer. She directly assists individuals with suicidal ideation and anxiety. She is also a board member with the Ontario Association for the Application of Personality Type (OAAPT)

Nancy is currently completing her Masters of Counselling. She has been certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)™ and facilitate Personality Dimensions™ Workshops. Nancy is looking forward to her practicum placement with Kimberly Moffit in the fall of 2011.
